I was born in 1977, on a cold February morning, in a small town in middle America. I grew up in that small town of 2000 people, which was the same small town that my father grew up in too.

After high school, I moved to the big city, the biggest city in my state, the city of Milwaukee, Wisconsin. I attended the University of Wisconsin, Milwaukee, to receive a Bachelors degree in computers in the Business school. This was in the early days of the internet, so a total of 2 weeks was spent in one of my classes to talk about this new invention. I found this quite frustrating, so I started a small web design company while living in my student dorm. Graduation opened me up to the big world of big companies and a life of corporate web design. I continued working for large companies, and a Fortune 500 company, until 2008.

In 2008, I was accepted into the Interaction Design Masters program at Malmö University in Malmö, Sweden.

Two quick years later, I found myself in Portland, Oregon, back in the USA, to work again. And now finally in San Francisco, continuing my passion for design and making.
