Place-Specific
“The Spot” is the design that came from our “place-specific” theme. Place-specific design is a new genre in interaction design, which takes into consideration a “place” instead of starting with a “user.” The geography, location-based resources, and norms of a place are all taken into account for a design.

“The Spot” involves using Bluetooth technology to create download points in specific neighborhoods in Malmö. The neighborhoods are predominantly immigrant populations, with youth centers available to teenagers.
